The CANMORE® pipe bag is a technically advanced fabric pipe bag which is based on a specially developed GORE-TEX® membrane from W.L Gore and Associates (UK) Ltd. Initially developed in 1987 with consultation provided by Bob Shepherd MBE from RT Shepherd and Son Ltd, who saw the benefits of a pick up and play anytime pipe bag.
The pipe bag has been designed to provide the best features of more traditional sheepskin and hide bags while eliminating their major drawbacks. The features offered by the CANMORE® pipe bag include:

Initially developed in Scotland for the Highland bagpipes, the CANMORE® pipe bag is also available for the Scottish small pipes, the Spanish Gaita pipes and the Shuttle pipes.
In recent years a zip has been added to the CANMORE® pipe bag allowing players access to the inside of the bag now making total moisture control a reality by allowing the piper to monitor and control any build up of moisture. The CANMORE® pipe bag supports most moisture control systems on the market today.
