How do I place my order online?
It's quite simple really!
- Browse or Search through the site until you find the item(s) you wish to purchase.
- Once you've added all the items that you wish to purchase, you can begin the Checkout Process.
- This process involves 5 steps; Enter Details, Confirm Delivery Information, Delivery/Billing Information (Summary), Enter Payment Details and Complete Your Order.
- You will then receive an order confirmation email.
Is the site secure?
The simple answer is 'Yes!'
Any personal information given to The National Piping Centre will be protected. Your information will not be disclosed to any third parties. The National Piping Centre's server will secure your personal information with up-to-date firewall and encryption techniques during the ordering process.
In order to protect customers to the fullest extent, The National Piping Centre does not store your credit card information at any time. To assist you in recognizing secure areas of The National Piping Centre website, a small lock icon will appear on your web browser. When this icon is present, and in the locked position, you know that information on that page will be secured.
Added online security to protect your personal information from unauthorized use is provided by using advanced SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption.

Our aim is that orders received by 12 noon Monday-Friday will be shipped that day and usually take 1-3 working days to arrive. In the unlikely event that we cannot ship your order within 24 hours we will e-mail you with an expected delivery date.
What to do if your shipment is late;
In the event that you shipment is late, please contact us via email. All our orders are posted First Class Royal Mail. Heavier and more expensive items such as Bagpipes will be sent by APC Couriers.
All international orders over £200 in value will be shipped by FedEx. The FedEx tracking number will be emailed to you. Orders under £200 will be posted First Class Royal Mail.
We cannot guarantee that we will accept any orders from countries outside of the UK and those countries mentioned above.
For made to order items such as bagpipes and highland wear, please allow 4-6 weeks delivery, longer periods will normally be indicated under the item description. We will notify you of the expected delivery date.
Bagpipes are only shipped when they have been fully tested and our staff are completely happy with the sound.
The National Piping Centre is committed to protecting your privacy. We use any data that we may collect about you to deal with your account, promote goods and services to you, and for market research purposes. We are committed to keeping your information confidential.
The National Piping centre does not collect data from anyone visiting general pages on our website. The only data that we collect is information that you agree to submit. From time to time we may gather and publish, either internally or externally, general usage figures and statistics.
If purchasing from our online shop, there are certain items of information that we must collect. These include name, address, shipping address, e-mail address and Credit Card details. This enables us to process your order and also enables us to contact you in the event of any issues that may arise with the ordering process. We also ask for your telephone number, in order that we can contact you, in some cases, with vital delivery information. This information is accepted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encrypted pages. Purchaser's e-mail addresses will be added to our own mailing list for future offers e-mails. Users can unsubscribe to this at any time and we will always answer requests to be taken off the mailing list.
The National Piping Centre is not responsible for any sites that may link to our website. Nor can we be responsible for the content of sites that we link to. While we have taken every precaution to examine the content of linked websites, the National Piping Centre is not responsible for the content of third party websites.
The National piping centre will never pass on any customer's personal information to third parties, unless required to do so by law. You have a right to ask for a copy of any information that we may hold about you, and to have inaccuracies changed accordingly. All items are subject to availability. All of our stock levels are live, but obviously errors can occur in our warehousing stock control systems. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available. Products and packaging are subject to change or substitution without prior notice. Every effort will be made to dispatch the items specified.

We try to ensure that all images displayed on our website match the product as accurately as possible but cannot always guarantee an exact colour match to the product as displayed on your screen.
Receipts and Bills
We will e-mail you confirming that we have received your order. We will only contact you if your order can not be dispatched that day.
You will receive a till receipt when the goods are delivered. Any mistakes in billing or receipts will be corrected as soon as possible.
If an item is out of stock we will email you to let you know we can't fulfil your order.
If we do not stock the product that you are looking for but we do stock the brand, there is a possibility that we may be able to order it in for you. In this situation, please email or phone us to discuss the availability.
Methods of Payment
We can only accept payment in pounds Sterling.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Delta and Solo. If you are paying by Maestro you will also need to include the card issue number or start date. All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rate and are correct at the time of input.
Some products contain some zero rated goods and the consolidated VAT rate is then reduced accordingly. We reserve the right to amend prices subject to change in the rate of duty. The total cost of your order is the price of the products including delivery charges.
All orders are positively credit card sanctioned prior to dispatch, so please ensure that the details you provide us with are correct. We cannot accept responsibility for an order being held back as a result of incorrect or invalid payment details being given.
In the unlikely event that your payment card is used fraudulently to make a purchase with The National Piping Centre Ltd you, the consumer, are entitled to cancel the said payment(s). If payment has already been made, you, the customer, are entitled, in accordance with the standing Consumer Protection Distance Selling Regulation (2000), to a re-credit or to have all sums returned to you by the card issuer.
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased from National Piping Centre Ltd, for a full refund.
Order cancellations must be made via email, quoting your order number, within 7 working days of the day after you receive the goods to email@example.com.

If however your order has already been processed, you will need to return the order to us. Please read the Return or Exchange an item section below.
In the event that your purchase is not suitable, you have the right to return it to us unused, preferably with the original packaging and labels. You must notify us in writing within 10 working days, by post, email or fax of your intention to do this. In this instance, you will be responsible for any return postage.
Where you are requiring an exchange, for example, because a size has been incorrectly ordered, we will make a £3.00 charge to arrange the exchange. Payment for this must be provided before we will send out the replacement item.
For European and International orders the charge will vary depending on the current cost of delivery to that country. For an accurate price, please contact us before returning your item.
Sorry, we cannot accept returns of videos, CD's, DVDs, books or computer software where any seals have been broken.
When returning goods to us, we suggest that you use registered post or a guaranteed delivery service.
All refunds will be given as soon as possible, and will only be refunded onto the card used for the original purchase. At the very latest we will refund your money within 30 days from the day we receive your cancellation. In the case of incorrect ordering and undisclosed reasons for return, the customer will be expected to pay the return postage costs.
