Ian K. Murray has been a familiar face in the piping scene in Scotland since the 1980s. A long-time member of the Piobaireachd Society, the Royal Scottish Pipers’ Society, the Lowland & Border Pipers’ Society, Ian is a piper, judge, occasional composer, enthusiast … and wit.

His acute observations and assessments of piping were published regularly in the Piping Times and The Scotsman.

This book is essentially a collection of those articles.

It’s a great read and will serve as a useful aide-memoire for future generations. The writing is concise, well-informed and at times downright funny.
